In a debate with family member over this teaser:
There are 3 doors you can choose from with a prize behind one of the doors.
After you choose your door, a 3rd party tells you which of the other two remaining doors the prize is not behind, then offers you the chance to switch doors, should you switch?
A brain teaser? In this heat? You must be kidding!
I have also heard that you should. However, the logic still eludes me.
Perhaps the reasoning will become clearer if the numbers are changed:
Suppose there were 100 doorsÂ…Your chance is 1/100
98 empty doors are removed...
Would you swap your 1/100 for 1/2?
I wouldn't. When I used to watch the show, I always wanted to be the one to get the door with the donkey or chickens

That's not the choice. The choice is 1/100 for 99/100.
