All day today, when I've gotten a PM, I get a message from Internet Explorer that an error has occurred (forget terminology -- if someone sends me a PM I'll make note of it) and then the whole thing closes, and I have to re-open A2K. Irritating.
I'll dump the PM sounds. It's probably what causes this. Please PM me sometime tomorrow (or later tonight as I'll be working soon) to remind me to do this.
I used to have a different problem. I had to reload a2k when answering a message from the popup alert. I now use the message block in the menu. No further problems.
Yeah- Come to think of it, sometimes my computer would freeze when I answered a PM. Usually a 3 finger salute would clear everything up.
Just adding my two cents that I've not had any problems with PMs.
I've never had any problems either. But let's see what happens. I've deleted the PM notification sounds code. Let me know if it still causes problems.

Nah, I'm okay. But I didn't have any problems with the PMs.
No problems now. Sorry I'm responsible for loss of sounds, though!
Maybe turn 'em back on and see what happens. just to be sure?
Nah, thing is I used my own quick script for the sounds to avoid doing some other more tedious code. I might bring them back with the option to turn them off in your profile in the future.
