Hello, I know this is random, and very unlikely. But ever since I was 14ish, I've wanted to move to Australia. I would appreciate any help on this quest. I'm now 16. And I don't plan on moving there until after college. But I am American, and wondering, does this idea even seem possible. I have a trust fund, and will have the money to do it. I don't really want to go into reasons why I want to move there. And I know I should have careful planning. But anyone who could tell me about the country more would be of great help. I'm trying to plan ahead now so my trip might be possible.
Thanks,Gabby.
Welcome aboard Gabby. There are a whole bunch of threads in the A2K Oz forum about moving to Australia which you should scan, but the short answer is yes, it is very possible for an American to migrate to Australia (I know lots who have).
I'm sure Dad or Margo will post some useful links but here's the official starting point:

We're always up for specific questions if you have any. Tell us more about who you are and why you want to come and every opinionated aussie here will advise on which city, region and state you should settle in and how to talk 'Oz'. Gidday cobber.

I do as a matter of fact.
Trust fund eh? Does your dad own a brewery? rubs hands together.
Seriously though gabbygirl perhaps you should consider youth exchange. Variouse options are available such as a high school exchange. A gap year could be good after high school and before college. Your school may have information about short or long exchange options.
Rotary and AFS are two I would reccomend. google "rotary youth exchange" and AFS Youth exchange.
Here is a web forum about youth exchange.
