Peace be upon you!

Caliph is a word which comes from Arabic word Khalifah and it means: the one who come after, vicegerant, deputy.

In the holy Quran, it is said:
Allah has promised to those among you who believe and do good works that He will surely make them Caliphs (Successors) in the earth, as He made Successors (from among) those who were before them; and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He has chosen for them; and that He will surely give them in exchange security (and peace) after their fear: They will worship Me, they will not associate anything with Me. Then whoso is ungrateful after that, they will be rebellious. ref: verse 56 of chapter 24

Caliphs came in previous religions too.

After the death of holy prophet (peace and blessing of Allah be on him and all prophets) caliphate was established and latter kings came, as he foretold . He also prophecied that in latter days, a reformer would come for peaceful reformations. Such a reformer is being waited in many religions too.

According to 200 million Ahmadiyya muslims in 190 countries, that promised reformer has come in 1908 in India. Now they are led to ever growing progress by their fifth caliph. [Many of other muslims are still waiting for reformer to come and some are already forgotten the subject and are netted into several disputes.]

On 27 of may, 2008 the Ahmadiyya muslims celebrated worldwide 100 year completion of their promised institution of caliphate. Main prayerful progarme took place in Excel, London, UK. And rest of the community joined via MTA, their tv.

They tearfully prayed to Almighty God with emotions of thankfulness on that occasion. Local British people openly commented high by seeing scenes of utmost sincerety (and organization) in which Ahmadiyya community was consumed on that day.

The refomer claimed that he was sent by God:
1= to re-establish spiritual relation of human with Allah based upon love and sincerity.
2= no wars on the name of Allah and peace be installed.
3= to re-illumine the divine truths.
4= to develop spirituality in human which is lost under the darkness of selfishness.
5= Reflection of attributes of Allah be shown in human by self-example---by means of prayers and spiritual attention.
6= to remind people about the pure unity of Allah.
His humble claim was to achieve all mentioned goals not by him -- but with the help of Lord of heaven and Earth.

On centenary day, caliph and his worldwide community made the firm pledge that they and their geneartions will take the peaceful message of Allah and blessed holy prophet to all world. Love for all hatred for none.
