Good day. We all hated the art... but liked the checking-out.

But back to antagonism, Thomas got a larger bottle of fizzy than I did. He probably burped more.

voice - Mac11. I'm not sure, but tempered, considerate.

O'Bill, I'm not sure either, but a certain level of ebulliance.

JPB, also not clear in memory but a combo of smart/thoughtful.

Blatham, slambang at you, words to quick work out, with a level of sardonic and what?

Lola, have to think about it. Some disconnect with voice and brains, which I enjoy.

Back in London, I was kind of disappointed that Dianne wasn't really a nun.

She's the problematic one. I'm the one who signed up as a postulant. We need to have a Passive Aggressive slap a thon.

Oh, wait, I need to fix my hair.

(Actually I did cut my hair, but waaaaay out of consequences of this thread.)

Thomas, a few people miss my nun avatar--been thinking about changing it back.

And sweetie, how do you know I'm not a nun? An incognito nun...

An anonymous nun on the run, traveling in camouflage. And a Porche with a certain cowboy.

I still wish I had a daughter, so I could set you both up and wind up with you as my son-in-law.

Uh, oh, do you mean me or someone else,

Sister Marcelline Marie
Sister Adele Mary
Sister Mary Rita
Sister Mel
Sister Mel
Sister Phillipa

I'm not a nun. I've known a few great ones.

I figure we both mean our references sardonically.

Well, I do.

Thomas, good luck. The last time a sexy woman said she wished I were her son-in-law, I was impotent for a month.

Thomas is sort of a surprise. I've met him twice. Online he makes me sort of fear-shiver for his analytic abs (abilities); in real life he is a major teddy bear. But maybe he was just sleepy...

On listening, Thomas' English speaking is very... Californian. I had no problem ever.

No, I think he is the same straightforward, level-headed guy in person, he seems to be on these threads. If I am not mistaken he lived for a time near the Davis campus of the University of California, & that explains his excellence in English and Californian aspect.

I wonder how all that works for him in New Jersey?

He's a gentleman. He's intelligent. I love reading his posts. He's quiet and quiet-spoken. Doesn't put himself forward. Doesn't give himself any airs. He's very agreeable company. And he's a very interesting person. I was delighted to spend the day in Santa Fe with him and osso. Very enjoyable time.

Damn !!! You never said any of that stuff about me !

I met Osso once and it was delightful. One of my fondest anticipations is someday drinking wine, talking with her while "preping" for her when she cooks an Italian meal.
I've met Diane and Dys twice. She was delightful, of course. He was...I can't find the words. The look of him IS an experience. He reminds me of Don Quixote--I mean it. My wife is a real fan of Cervantes' creation (he was the topic of her doctoral dissertation), and the first time she saw Dys she was stunned and fascinated. He is a mysteriously beautiful experience. Forget about the intense blueness of Diane's eyes.
My meeting with Francis in Paris was an encournter with real gentility. If he isn't royalty he should be.
Given my great luck so far I do look for forward to meeting others of our tribe.

I've often thought that I'd love to spend some kitchen time with OssoB - doing prep work, chatting and then FEASTING!

A few of my favourite memories of time with A2K'rs/Abuzzers involves time in kitchens. The shared meals were good/great/excellent, but the prep-cooking time was ultimately fine.

Actually, food shopping on the Upper East Side with dag, littlek and kicky on our way to Bernie and Lola's is also a really fine fine memory.

Where you're concerned, ob1kanobe, words can't do you justice. I did try, though...

From that thread:

"George - amusing, interesting, entertaining, intelligent, and for sure a button-pusher (in our family he would have been known as Percy Kid-Pester) - definitely likes a lively conversation Smile I enjoyed our repartee" Smile

and again, earlier today.

I know you're just teasing me but I could NOT let that go unchallenged Smile

As a matter of fact, during our San Francisco brunch, Mame and georgeob had an exchange going on that I thought would develop into an international crisis between Canada and the US. But, thankfully, it was all in fun. The laughters said it all.

Well, in the beginning it was just because of her strange accent. After that, I was on the defense all the way. Besides Cicerone, you were no damn help, you were on her side!

Obviously, you are being too kind, JL.

To me, it's meeting wise and knowledgeable people like you that makes possible my reconciliation with humanity.
