You'd think this would be about tortilla soup, or whatever you call it, but no.
It's about a soup I've simmering now.
Lessee...
chicken broth diluted
two red potatoes, peeled and grated into diluted broth
a celery stalk sliced into simmering broth
about a third of a yellow zucchini thin sliced into broth
two scallions, chopped, including some of the white
the kick -
a wee plastic container of guacamole taco sauce from our recent best taco place foray
and, then, later, the spiciest taco stuff, with a certain red-orangeness
(I'm a hoarding senior with a twist) And, we need to add that place to the ABQ thread...
plus, a nice fat dump of roasted asparagus in olive oil with lemon later, in smallish cuts
some cut-up sliced packaged ham, from the meat sector, not the cheese and hot dog aisle.
And, some ital spices, lots of ground pepper.
Tastes great already.
Do you ever do Soup Playing?
Yup.
Threw a turkey carcass in the crockpot day before yesterday with lots of water and forgot about it. Sieved the bones out last night and added carrots, onions and celery. This morning I threw in a handful of orzo. Left a can of "southwestern style" beans on the counter for Mr. Fix-it to add (and leftover turkey, of course). Came home from work tonight to pretty tasty soup. A little thin (should have added more orzo) but nothing a fistful of saltines couldn't fix.
Woman I can understand, that Tai Chi.
If it was good, send me a recipe, if not...........

It was great, and you already saw 'the recipe'.
