(As we all know, Jane Austen penned that delightful sentence in one of her juvenilia.)
Anyhoo, A2k went nutso again a little while ago....(though, thankfully, shows no immediate signs of fainting...prolly because it's not making the hamsters wear tight corsets, but I digress).
I mean, WE, or a bunch of us, are currently rawther manic.
What do you think causes this? It happens quite regularly...you know, the proliferation of similarly themed threads, the long farewells, the crazy posts.
What is it? The Moon? Tension? Boredom? A random spark?
I had canadian bacon with my brekkie eggs this morning; it may have upset my patriotic limitations (i'm all out of Spanish marmalade)
One might say the moon, given the lunatic character of the silliness to which you have animadverted . . .
Personally, though, i think it's because of our fine, poetical nature:
The poet's eye, in a fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And, as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet's pen
Turns them to shapes, and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.
Hmmmm...bacon, marmalade and poetry posited as reasons.
I think we're in Wonderland, Toto.
****...and TS also....well, wherever we am, it ain't Kansas (or Broken Hill, as we say in Oz.)

Not for me it ain'tn't.
With the waxing moon, all thoughts turn to love....
My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plain hearts do in the faces rest;
Where can we find two better hemispheres
Without sharp north, without declining west?
Whatever dies, was not mix'd equally;
If our two loves be one, or thou and I
Love so alike that none can slacken, none can die.
Sunspots and solar storms are rarely given the credit they deserve.
I think it's something in the air or perhaps boredom, time on one's hands, too many Obama posts

Or maybe it's the uranium emanating from Montana's little corner of the world.
Deb, not particular reason, just thoughts of the moon, reflections, sweet and bittersweet, time....
Mame, you are one of the most wonderfully down to earth women--can't wait to meet you in person.
When we have a couple of random, quippy threads and ANYONE will play with me, I love to zip around. Today, Bella is my primary instigator.
Therefore, I love her!
Shitt, you very smart, smartasssss, it is waning. Dammit, I was being all romantic and mushy and you had to bring me back down to earth. Hell, can't a girl get a break?
Nah, if I ever really wanted a break, it would be a 'break a leg' sort of break.
I was never any good at mushy sorts of romance anyway...
It's so windy today I don't even wanna go out and look at the moon later, unless it totally deadens out there. I'm about to have a mental breakdown from the wind noise on my vent thingies.
Dys and I are going nuts too, osso. No moon, just wind.
Arrgghh.
