I need 10 questons to interview someone about thier Muslim religion to write a paper.
All I could come up with was:
1)What are the important holidays and traditions of this religion?
2)How has religion shaped your life?
3)What are the challenges, if any, to practicing this particular religion?
Any suggestions?
Please
1 What is a fatwa?
2 Do you think that the current rise of Islamic fundamentalism is making the world a better place?
3 Does your religion promote full equality between men and women?
If not, why not?
4 Do you think that Allah agrees with the practise of indiscriminate bombing of civilians? If so, why?
5 Do you agree with certain Mosques allowing what is essentially a place of worship to be used as teaching/recruitment center for potential future fundamentalists?
got an agenda there, vid?
greeniiz, break your #1 into two questions. I would suggest beginning with questions about Islam and then making a switch to a personal focus. Your questions, as you have them, are generic -- make them specific.
1)What are some important holidays in Islam?
2)What are some other important traditions? (daily prayers will probably be one answer)
3)Why do you face Mecca during your prayers?
4)How does Allah relate to the Jewish-Chistian God? (they are the same)
5)Describe your worship services.
6)Is there a difference between the daily prayers and those done at the Mosque?
7)What are the differences between Shia and Sunni muslims?
8)Do all Muslims follow one or the other of these traditions?
9)How has being a Muslim shaped your life?
10)Do you feel people judge you because you are a Muslim?
11)What would you like those people to know about you?
I kept 9) your 2) in my suggested list but it could be a very difficult question for someone to answer because it's so open ended.
Good luck!
