I'm thinking of a three digit number. If you take away the first digit, the remaining number is 1/5 of the original three digit number. If you take away the next digit, the remaining number is 1/5 of the original three digit number. What is the original number?

but when you take away the second digit the question should read that the result is one fifth of the two digit number because no single digit number can be multiplied by 5 to get a 3 digit number, dig it?
