Where did the lost paid day go due to DDEP??

Riddle/Problem,

Okay, we are changing pay periods due to we are going to a Direct Deposit system and this is changing our pay period, as it looks employees will lose a day due to the change of pay period days.

Currently our pay period is from Thursday to Thursday with a pay day on Friday.

Tomorrow the 28th we will get paid from 3/21 thru 3/27 which is for 5 days (excluding weekends).

Going forward next week our pay period will change to a Wednesday to Wednesday,

we will get paid on the 4th for hours worked 3/28 thru 4/2, which is only 4 working days (excluding weekends), then the following week on the 11th, we once again get paid for 5 working days from 4/3 thru 4/9.

So in essence, the 3rd isn't paid for on the 4th but the 11th.. but still comes up to only 4 paid days on the 4th.

Question - Where is the missing day or is there one??

Any suggestions as to how to compensate for the lost day if there is actually one as it appears?
