Its too hot to play out of doors.

So, we sit in this house all the hot, hot, hot day.
We sit in the house, for its too hot to play.
The air is too thick and the heat is too hot.
I told you it was; don't tell me its not.

We sit and chat
surrond by fire
was the walls come crashing down
one of us departs
one arrives

This state is not where I want to be right now.
The sky is so blue it's disgusting, nothing to break the glare from the old devil sun.
I've learned some new things about allergies.
Cedar fever, similar to encyphalitis, never mind the headache, what are those aching bumps on my head, that odd earache? I hear it's oak fever.
But, there's those 2000 U. vitamin C each morning and night, followed by the Claritin once a day, and love the Tylenol.
The humidity, geez, the sweats. Can't stand to be outside. But, the fireweather will be over in two weeks. Don't bet on it.
What's odd is Texas (at least here) doesn't have flying insects - mosquitos and flies. Really saves the day that it could be worse. Then, I'd worry about West Nile. Wonder how we'd apply deet over the sticky sunblock over the moisturizer.
This place is cooking.

Found a place to get this out of my system. I haven't lived in Texas for over 30 years, but when I lived here before there was no humidity. Honest, that's one of the reasons I moved back down here.

Mosquitos carry the West Nile death
nothing on TV
Too damn hot to pull in a breath
and I ran out of pickles.

I am not concerned that this poem doesn't rhyme.
These are valid complaints.

Hmm never seen the show. I usually watch music videos 24/7 Smile

As i walk down the street
Flashes of Blue
As i peek into a house
Empty Streets of Light
Empty Driveways
What has society become
Anything but a ghost town

Inspired by the short story
The Pedestrian

Hello!

hello ...

that is nice (about summer). <nods>.

here, it seems summer is already over. it was a summer of record heats, but it seems to have lasted so short. you wonder where it went.

now winter is coming already again. that makes me sad.

i even had to put my wintercoat on for the first time this week. {i mean, its a nice wintercoat - its new. i thought i deserved a new wintercoat - the old one must have lasted for five years. i loved that coat. all i needed was to have it around me, and all felt well. on late night train rides, it was almost like a sleeping bag. but it was really way too worn out, by now. sucks. how things ... yeh.)

I wish I needed a wintercoat.
It never gets cold enough.
I have a jacket.
I wear it three weeks out of the friggin hot year.

Hate hot heat. Hhhhhhh---

<giddy mood descending> but, with a cranky twist. this cannot be good.
