Banks Selling Off MO...

Well, maybe it had something to do with the fact that it went ex-dividend on the 17th.

Considering that I am making over 200% on MO, I am not concerned. As far as I am concerned, I have PLENTY of wiggle room!

THE DISTRIBUTION
General
The separation of PMI from Altria will be accomplished through a pro rata distribution by Altria of 100% of our outstanding common stock to Altria stockholders, which we refer to as the Distribution or the Spin-off, on
March 28, 2008, the Distribution Date. As a result of the Distribution, each holder of Altria common stock as of 5:00 p.m. New York City Time on March 19, 2008, the Record Date, will:

• receive one share of our common stock for each share of Altria common stock owned by such holder;
and
• retain such holder's shares in Altria.

NEW YORK - Altria shares rose after a UBS analyst said the cigarette maker will post strong profit growth after spinning off its Philip Morris International unit.

The New York-based company will complete the spinoff of PMI on March 28, leaving Altria (nyse: MO - news - people ) as an exclusively U.S.-oriented company. While domestic sales have been growing more slowly than international sales, analyst Nik Modi said Altria will increase its profit growth with cost cuts.

Altria Group Inc. expects its profit to grow between 9 percent and 11 percent this year, but Modi said earnings per share will rise by an average of 13 percent per year over the next three years. He initiated coverage with a "Buy" rating.

He said the price of Altria shares will be adjusted to $21.50 after the spinoff - a discount of almost 40 percent to his price target of $30 per share.
