So sweet, hamburger. An evening tussle... I can picture it perfectly! They are quite a pair.
We've had pure breds in the past as well as a rescue dog. The rescue, Sassy, was a real ham.
Hmmm, Im going to ask around. Dont go way.
CJane - I'm sitting here alone laughing out loud! OMG, the bean bag nap progression was priceless!
Thank you. I needed that!
sooo cute, wasn't it, squinney? Also him in the basket with all the
stuffed animals.
I couldn't imagine living without a dog either, ours needs a lot of attention
though and is never alone for more than 5 hours.
A shepherd boxer mix is available ... Cub could certainly run with her.
But she is HUGE at only three months!
Any idea what a boxer shepherd temperment would be like?
Osso, that corgi is darling! There are a lot of those in my neighborhood and I think of you every time I see one.
I am a born again mutt girl. I always have had Dalmations and I adore Dals but our mutt is soooooo smart.
He's Austrailian shepard and border collie with perhaps a dash of somethingorother....
here's a nice low maintenance one....
No Border Collies if you dont have the time to spend. They get bored easily and then get into things that you will not like.
Something friendly and not too brilliant. LAbs or Goldens can be just the ticket, our used to keep getting locked in the pantry and I think the Border Collie or the catahoula locked er in for fun.
If you're used to Dalmations, everything seems smart, Boomerang.
i like beaglejuice, and at 1 year he may be housebroken, a not so small plus.
My first dog, Sandpaw, was a mutt found on the defunct railroad tracks behind our studio. Called a Venice shepherd, meaning some conglomeration of possible lineage. Let it be said that any dog found on the railroad tracks is apt to want to wander...
second dog, Kelly, was an irish setter found in a lumber yard way across town. He also loved to roam, but we had control of the fencing in those years;
third dog was Pacco, found by the humane society (or someone who took him to it) hiking down highway 101. He didn't want to roam, bless his heart. I always figured someone threw him out of their car, for whatever reason. He'd been at the humane society for a month when I found him, so no one was looking for him.

Did you read that NatGeo article on animal brains? That border collie was SMART.
I grew up wirh Australian Shepherds and collies working the ranch. Absolutely love love love them. I would have to have a yard and basically no job to give a proper home to either of those breeds... or move back to the farm.
They really are the smartest I've ever experienced. Corgi's have also found a place in working stock or at least hanging out at the barn.
Beaglejuice? Would I have to say that three times before he would come?
What about a miniature schnauzer?
I think we need to make a trip to the SPCA. Maybe all of the ones available aren't on the website. Considering checking out the german shepherd/boxer mix which would be a good choice for running with Seth. There appears to be two sisters available in that mix.
But, Bear reminded me that Boxers drool. Can't deal with drool!
I think when we see the right one, we'll know. There has to be a personality bond, which you can't know until you're there.
I'll take the camera... may be able to make it down there this afternoon.
just remember that neither one of you are at home enough to housebreak a puppy..... that's just a fact.
and then do whatever you like.
What compelled you to post that?

Maybe he was thinking older dogs need love too.

Zoe and Bailey both only drool when there is food they want or right after drinking.
It's no big deal at all. They aren't as sloppy as a lot of dogs with big floppy lips.
