Current organized crime activity in Sydney's underworld

Most people know about the Gangland Killings down in Melbourne which involved elite organized crime mobsters such as Carl Williams, The Moran Family, Tony Mokbel, The Carlton Crew etc..

But does anyone here know of Sydney's equivalent?
The only ones I know of are Michael Hurley, Abe Saffron, Dlasthr, 5T and triad groups around Chinatown..
Yet most of these are in the past and are no longer operating within Sydney's underworld..

Does anyone know of any organized crime figures and/or mob bosses around Sydney who are currently operating? This includes what they do and their location etc..

Of course I have..

I was reading and researching the Melbourne underworld even before I knew that their was gonna be a TV show based upon those events..

So I was just curious about any organized crime going on in Sydney at this very moment in time..
I know there are a few Triad syndicates including Sing Wa, Big Circle Boys and Sun Yee On operating throughout the CBD, Parramatta, Ashfield, Hurstville, Chatswood and especially in Chinatown..

Oh & welcome to A2K, Crymz1.

From someone in Melbourne who would love to see Underbelly, but can't.

Damn.

I haven't been watching Underbelly.

The first time I met MsOlga, she took me to lunch at an Italian restaurant in Lygon Street, right during the time they were popping people off just there.

Watch Underbelly....I thought I was living it!

I was expecting to be gunned down at any minute. I was wondering what the bill protocol is, if you get shot. I mean, I guess if you're shot dead, then you don't pay. If you're only injuired, will they come after you for the money? Is it extra if you bleed on the furniture? Rolling Eyes

I'm sure Olga didn't know this was going through my head - she probably thought I was just another of those odd Sydney types!

If all you damned sissies went around heavily armed, these problems would take care of themselves. Don't believe me, though, just ask Cjhsa.

You were perfectly safe, margo.

They only shoot each other (rival gangs Rolling Eyes )
They have not the slightest interest in shooting civilians!

But yes, the cafe you ate at was a particular favourite of a particular well known crim. Good pasta, that's why!

And just two blocks away, one fellow was blown away (by while eating at his favourite place) by some rival in the gangster pecking order ...

Actually, there aren't too many of them around any more!

No offense meant, Crymz1, honestly....

Thing is, I know less about the Sydney underground (as it is today) than you appear to.

Seems to be the case with the rest of the Oz posters on this thread, too.

So it's kinda hard to have a conversation about a subject you know little about, you see.
