Just curious. Spent some time yesterday with some people who now live maybe 25 miles away from where they grew up -- they've known each other since kindergarten.
I chose the fourth option; I live in the same region, I think (Midwest). I grew up in Minnesota and now live in Ohio.
Well the poll got messed up somehow -- the last option was supposed to be first. So I chose what is now the third option, not the fourth.
Grew up in Brooklyn, lived my earlier adult life on Long Island, now live in Florida.
Grew up in New England, now in the Midwest, hope to be elsewhere in the not so distant future -- gonna check out the Mississippi Delta region as a possibility.

I lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 72 years, then moved to Albuquerque, N.M. in 2008, where I didn't know anyone.
Big environmental and cultural change.

Brattleboro, Vt til I was 12 then Burlington.
I was born and raised in Chicago.
I now live just outside of Atlanta.

Move to ABQ in October 2002 along with 40 boxes of books. Been here nearly six years.

I grew up in Texas and Oklahoma and now live in Oregon. It doesn't feel like the same country but it is.
I've always lived in the same state, same area (within about 30 - 40 miles of my home town).
However, that is all going to change in about 4 months. I am beginning to get scared.
I grew up in the Bronx. Now I live in Manhattan. Same city, different borough, just a few miles apart.
You can take da goil outta da Bronx but you can't take da Bronx outta da goil...

I mostly grew up in Baton Rouge, LA (moved there at age 8) and now live in Houston, TX, so I voted for being in the same region.
But I've also lived in Alabama, Ohio, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Oregon, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
Grew up in Western PA and now live in the Poconos.
I've also lived five places in New Jersey, NYC, three other places in PA. Montana, Colorado, Massachusetts, London and St. Ives, Cornwall.
One more move. Just one more move.
