The LiGht bulb riddle

In a staircase are 3 switches located. On the loft is a turned off light bulb, which can be turned on/off with one of these three switches. The remaining switches don't do anything at all. How can you find which of the switches is the working one? You can go to the loft only once and you can't see the light bulb from anywhere except the loft itself. You are not allowed to use any devices which might help you.

And flipping all the switches is not the solution.

And please tell the exact way you solved it.

Flip 2 switches.
Check to see if the light is on.
If it is not then you know it's the 3rd switch.
If the light is on ... then ...

[size=7]Number the switches 1, 2 & 3. Start with all three swutches in the down position (off). Flip switches 1 & 2 up (on) for five minutes, flip switch 2 off (down).

Quickly go to loft

If the light is on switch 1 controls the light.
If the light is off and warm, switch 2 controls the light
If the lighr is off and cold, switch 3 controls the light[/size].
