i had an interview ysterday at the university of essex, and the lecturer who interviewed me, Patrice Maniglier, mentioned Friedrich Nietzsche.

i had not previously heard anything from his works, but one thing caught my attention, Patrice said that Nietzsche attempted to reverse ethics. i am supposing that this means good things become bad and bad things become good, however wouldn't that world be too chaotic to exist? not impossible, but self-destructive.

maybe i have misunderstood what the reversal of ethics is. anybody know what Nietzsche meant?

It's not a very good read (not even by Wikipedia's standards), but it's the basic idea.

I think the Wikipedia reading is good--as a summary statement for someone who has read Nietzsche. But it is not a useful introduction.
