Will the government of men use their laws as an excuse to remove the law of God from the
people by deadly force?

I have no quarrel with God's laws, so long as his followers don't impose them on me.

Cool thread! I've never tried putting it this way before,
so let's see how it goes...

My God or his laws cannot possibly be removed
by any action someone takes.
It's impossible and ridiculous to consider.
He is permanently universal, by definition,
within every person, action, and thing.

God is powerful and honest enough, to take care
of Himself without my meddling.
I don't need to sell Him to anybody.

To the same degree, my God cannot be gifted
or mandated onto someone else by any action I take.
How do you force or invite someone to drink water
when they already do every day?
You can't do what's already done.

It's impossible to get on God's good side, because it's all good.
My own blindness or struggle won't change that.
I cannot earn his favor or displeasure by following a nature
that is not mine. I have to be me just "because I am here".

Every person I know represents God,
so I try to have a little respect
and see the gift in each person's unique experience and view.
This is just mine, and it's no big deal.

Law, commandments and the word of God is written
within our hearts, and my heart is not stone.

No excuse is needed, to do something that cannot be done.

The Law of God does not exist in mankind. There is nothing for the Law of Man to remove. The Law of God is spiritual, invisible, personal.

The law of Man is material, visible, and impersonal. What the Law of Man treats as the Law of God are merely a facimile of words. The ten commandments and the bible are not the Law of God. The Quran is not the Law of God. The Torah is not the Law of God. They are inanimate objects filled with pages containing words. Nothing but words.

The Law of God is invisible, personal, spiritual. The Law of Man does not apply to intangibles.

Wait until Bush finds out about this
I can't wait for the Bushies to finally discover the difficulty of imposing Western-type laws and legal system in Iraq and Afghanistan. Do you suppose than none of the Bushies know that Islam holds that only God can make laws, not mankind?

When they try that approach, they have yet to see how much hell can break out.

There are no, as you put it, laws of God. The bible was written by man and the laws attributed to God therein come from the fertile mind[s] of the writers.

au1929, try telling that to the millions who believe that THEIR God wrote whatever book (bible, etc.) they subscribe to.

I for one am not a believer so I consider the Bible etc. as books of history written by historians each having their own agenda---same as today.

What always amazes me when discussions about religion arise is that the true believer people don't look around today's world and realize that things were the same as in the time of the birth of religions. Power and wealth seekers, spin doctors, liars, and religious fanatics based on mental illness are not new. They've existed forever. Schizophrenics still hear voices and most people today, with a few exceptions, don't think they are gods or sons of gods, or prophets, etc. as they did in the past.

I wonder how many people today actually believe that God wrote the bible. I would venture to say as time passes it becomes less and less in Judeo/Christian society. As far as telling a believer that the bible is merely a little bit history mixed with much myth and exaggeration would be a waste of time and effort. Further why try to bust anyone's bubble.

My god can kick yer god's ass anytime, so don't try to feed me any crap about laws. In fact, when we were talkin' last night, she let me know that she's had about all of this crap she's gonna take . . .

I feel sorry fer all you suckers; i do feel pretty smug about my own prospects, though . . .

Jesus Christ, Husker, calm down before you post.

That was a muddle.

How about re-posting so that I know what you meant?
