We had temperatures in the 90's on Thursday - rare for the UK! Hot and humid - followed by the inevitable thunderstorms! Woke up to cool air this morning - bliss after the heat of recent weeks.

@vonny,
big electricical storm last night. Stinky and me just got our power back.

kinda sticky in here just yet...

but I got the tractor (less tires) loaded into my pickup truck just before it hit. Shocked I'm down on the suspension stops with it. gonna go verra slowly on back roads to take it in.

after I get myself past the morning blahs.

but before noon...

@vonny,
I gotta go get some of my ropes and tie the tractor in so I don't lose it on the way. that would be verra bad. I would never get it back in...

I thought about it all night while I tossed and sweated.

gonna tie through the back windows of the cab. and around the steering wheel of the tractor. I think that will keep it from sliding out the back.

this adventure may end up costing me a tailgate.

but I have a spare...

be back in a few hours if all goes according to hoyle.

got the old pieces of window all out, and the plywood I had boarded it up with. and cleaned out the hole.

I have the door sitting there for now. gonna come back to it tomorrow. ran outta steam tonight. and I want it to work nice. a clear head will be necessary.

making me some more sprouts and shrooms.

just aboot perfected that one...

it is gonna be verra cool to have the back door moved to the north side. now it will be under the mercury vapor night light. now I can install my security sysyem (part of what I am getting for the prelude is a new computer. then mine will prolly go into the shop)

@Rockhead,
Making new doors and windows! Sounds soooo easy for you! A flat pack is a big deal in our house!

Ordered a hardwood garden bench to arrive Thursday - flat pack - oops, going to be fun!

New computer - guess you'll have no problems with that either! I've just acquired a Toshiba Satellite running Windows 8 - three days later and I'm still getting used to it. Love it though!

@vonny,
I avoid assembling anything by instructions at all costs.

hanging a door is not as easy as it maybe sounds. but I'm not going to give any construction lessons here...

level and plumb are your friends.

gonna go discuss tractor tires and plastic sheeting with grampa jack...
