I could get in my pond, but I try to avoid that. it makes the fish mad...
and I can walk across the river at the moment. the lake too, for that matter, but it's always shallow and gross...
I'm working on a homemade swamp cooler that will eventually go into the greenhouse. but may come in handy in the trailer first.
we'll see...

Vonny, check the fans.
How do I do that? It does seem to be pretty hot - I'll check the bottom vents and see if they look blocked - never thought about that. Thank you.

it could also end up being me.

@Butrflynet,
I think I've found the fan - didn't even know there was one until now! I can hear a noise and feel a very faint coolness from it. Can't see any blockages in the vents, but the laptop was on a heat-absorbing pad on a cushion which may have slipped! I've raised it now, so that the bottom of it is suspended on a special stand - not as comfortable to type on, but safer perhaps?
it's prolly the heat, but I had a stroke of creative genius. or too much sun...
I took some old CB antennas and wired them to my fence posts that hold the gourds.
I'm making a small outdoor room that will be enclosed and shaded when the vines take off and go nutso. my little round table sits in a courtyard there now...
tomorrow I will sink a single tall pole and rig cable to support the structure. kinda like what I do at concerts, but no speakers or light bars will be used. just fence and cables.
I think my muse would appreciate it...
and I cleaned hell outta the north forest.
yes, Ima call it my forest. it has more than 10 30 foot pines / cedars growing in a very shaded clump. tomorrow before it gets to a million degrees, Ima take the big saw and clear everything up to about 4 feet. try and get a breeze through there, and then I can decide on ground vegetation...
this will be me and stinky's private forest garden.
(it may get a small pond)
got more than 10 of 50 caladiums up, the heat has them popping...

brrrr.
hadda get up this morning and kill the big fan.
temperature change is not my friend. nor is sweltering melty hotness...
my and stinky's morning view out the window is much nicer today. soon it will be downright pleasant...
developing a new interest that may have some income possibilities as well.
casting and sculpting concrete.
I am already pretty decent with the medium, having rebuilt mr vw's concrete pools and waterfall.
now I wanna combine that with the natural style in which I did my pond.
we have so few rocks here that concrete rocks will sell. I have already moved all of my real stone rocks up to the stream in preparation for a construction project. and I picked up a load of unused secondhand schedule 40 plastic pipe a while back.
all I need is some concrete and some color dyes to get started...
(mr vw has some old molds that Ima pick up and play with that make a "stone look" path. Ima try and make a wall instead.)
If I get good at it, I my start a pond and fountain service enterprise...
You'll never know what you might discover when you go swimming with fishes...

don't need no elephants busting up my water lilies...
back from a mission to get gas for the mower and bonneville (I forgot I was out) and some pond foam.
something I saw on youtube and hadda have.
menard showed he had some online in Maize, so I went there and asked.
guy said nope. never heard of it.
I said yup, you show to have it online, and the internet never lies...
they had it.
seals to stone, and is fish safe...
great stuff.
and I got some river rock to clean and use with it to make it all look natural.
gonna be coolio.
and D come over to check out the gourd room. I cut apart tomato cages today for the walls, and sunk the 20 foot tall center pole to support the ceiling.
I can't wait to sit and sip a cider in a natural green room.
gonna spray for skeeters and go finish whilst I have some light to work with...
