I went out after the storm, and...

3 of my hens are still shivering outside on top of a barrel. (actually I seem to be short one, but I'm not gonna freak out in the dark, she may be in a nesting box. or a tree...)

they'll all adjust and make friends tomorrow. and Ima go enlarge the perch so everybody has a sleeping spot...

but.

that's not what got me excited...

my caladiums are coming up.

and I have over fiddy of them...

all chickens accounted for.

but they are very much not mingling yet...

we have the jets (my docile follow me around and cluck hens) and the sharks (very battered and bruised looking) all in a clump walking the wire and looking for a possible escape route...

I guess that makes me Krupke.

I didn't catch how many roosters you have. Two who are new in the same pen spend time checking each other out and then the dominant one, usually the one that was there first, spends all his time beating the crap out of the other one.
