nope.

need some more dang battries...

and I filled up all the fluids on the new pickup. everything was low. (including 2 qts on the tranny) and the oil cap was missing.

the old guy was not maintenance oriented...

and the tranny is still hokey even when full. but intermittent, which still offers a glimmer of hope.

after a wash job, it's pretty nice. (it was dust brown when I got it. thick and tan) a little rust in the cab corners, and a fender that's wavy from a mishap. but nice paint, (burgandy) and a tear free cloth seat. and a bed liner.

I hauled a long pipe back from D's while I had an 8 foot bed to play with.

ack...

it's screaming for some duct tape.

(and a serious waste of a decent old pickup)

I went to my nebbors and hauled back two old riding mowers to try and build one good one. 42 inchers, so if it works, Ima be mowing a wide path...

and I got all my watering done. for all their forecasting rain, I've not seen a drop yet.

got weenies on the grill. my mexican neighbor 2 south is grilling in the wind, and it's killing me.

I looked long and hard at my 55 ford today, but I promised myself I wouldn't crack the hood until the vert is done.

long day...

got flowers arranged at both cemeteries on all 3 graves. got gram a nuway burger and watered all her plants.

got food for tomorrow's barb-q, and more pine bark nuggets.

and ol' bob asked me to stop by and get an old coca-cola sign he wants me to work on for him. made me proud to be asked...

and his wife gave me a buncha plants to get in the ground...

gotta run D some eggs for the cake she's baking, then I can settle down a little and focus on the chicken I brought home.

back home to stay.

hadda run D over a dozen eggs. she's having a sleepover and had no breakfasting material. (she traded me some more fresh grampa jack 'sparagoose)

gotta meet her man finally. she's kinda careful about him. she's in a very small minded community, and he's black.

verra nice guy. he wasn't quite sure what to make of me, but we got on well. they may come out tomorrow for the bbq...

mr vw and casey are coming out in the afternoon. casey is gonna work on my chicken pen for to pay off his tires.

Ima make butterfly chops and grilled prawns and dawdle in the garden with mr vw while he drinks beer...

ok.

I'm now on the hunt for a dragonfruit...
