I don't like seeds in things. I know...it's weird. I love strawberries but always worrying over the seeds while eating them. Same with kiwi. Kiwi isn't as bad - they are less bothersome. To me. I have issues.

my guests have left.

and my new chicken fence poles are standing...

my bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp were firkin awesome. (I dint even touch my pork chop)

not tired yet, still got an adrenaline buzz.

gonna find my flashlight and go harvest some prickly pear to start playing with.

I think I want to learn to graft...

dunno 'bout the pear part, but the prickly part of prickly pear is aptly named...

it ain't the big ones you gotta watch, it's the little tiny bastards that you can't even see.

and the only way I can get them out is with my teeth. so now I got them in my tongue.

but I have 7 new cactus plants to play with...


and my starter patch by the south fence is still full o' big donor plants...

kinda cloudy again today.

lotsa talk of rain. no drops...

my cacti all look nice and happy on the porch rail.

got to watching some video last night.

think Ima incorporate some fairy houses into my pond garden to expand on my gnomes. (fairies are rare in Kansas. not a good environment here)



and I gotta get busy on some sculptures, my morning glories will need something to climb up verra soon...

This song broke my heart today.

went wandering through the big evergreens north of my bedroom, and found the most magical spot. right on my property...

got the hose running over there to refresh all of the dry cedars. gonna take my trimmers and saw and go carve me out a nook a little later.


I gotta go get me some more cactus soil first...

believe it or not I was just out watering the garden and thinking 'bout you and Fboy and the other assorted devonites.

hope all is going well there...

I put a dozen crawfish in the pond last night.

they're verra fun to watch...


gotta run out to grampa jack's. he has a flat tar...

went to town to get my soil I paid for and left lying next to the sale pots.

and then went on in search of cactus babies. (found them at leows...)

and was followed every step by a different jurisdiction of law enforcement...

a stater, two sheriffs, a Maize cop that went into a parking lot with me, and a big city cruiser as I left town again.

I turned into my mower guy's cuz I didn't wanna bring the last sherrif home with me.

mebbe it will go ahead and storm to occupy all their extra nervous energy.

I stopped and looked to see if someone had written FUpigs or something on the back o' the bonne cuz it was so weird...(nope)

been battening hatches and stuff.

bringin' cacti inside.

got a big ugly wall headed for us...
