I didn't take notes while I was doing it. I drew up the standard grid (same as you see in puzzle books) for a logic problem. Two of the number entries were initially blank. After fllling out about half the grid (with only four items nailed down), I turned to the possibilities for the unknown numbers. The gender clue and the two clues about total values narrowed the field quite a bit.

That's all I've got.
