I am the long dead king you see every day

haha... I realize that your answer does fit the riddle, but it wasn't the answer I was going for.
Still, you get points for that one
Also, I realize that one word can make it hard for those who have never lived in a monarchy. Substitute the word "king" with "ruler" if you want.
