OK, when I post people get put off. What can I say, I oppose innocence and moral absolutism so it comes off as wicked. So here it is - an article opposing the light bulb ban.

My plans? Buy a couple dozen Sylvania 120 watt'ers. GE won't work, they're behind this. I won't reply to this one, don't want to play with a stacked deck. So what do y'all think?
Well, I pay by the kilowatt-hour so I have changed all my bulbs and I have bought a lot of beer with the savings. In my local supermarket, 12 watt (60 watt equivalent) CF lamps cost 1.20 and last 12 times as long as 60 watt filament bulbs cost which cost 1.00. It's a no-brainer, whether or not you are a global-warming denier.
