***Knowing prophecy, will save??

Prophecy is the most facinating aspect of any religion... However, when the prophecies foretold in a religion actually come to pass as predicted that religion stands on a different level than the others... Only God knows the future... so the religion that reveals accurate prophecy may very well be the true religion... Is that not so?

I found these videos on youtube perfect in showing Bible prophecy accuracy... the point is, there are still more prophecies that havn't yet come to pass... if the other ones did then they stand as evidence that the future ones will, so would it not then save us to know of them especially if we ourselves are involved?!

Check this out:

Part 2 is on the main channel: www.youtube.com/worldslastchance

Feedback plz.

God bless.

Makes sense to me.

Say . . . would you be interested in some bargain prices on lake-front property in Arizona? I could send you some brochures . . .

Non-prophet agent
I have a prophecy: tomorrow night at this time I'll be checking A2K for signs of intelligent life.

I'm a Non-prophet agent-at-large

Welcome to a2k, Janice.

Close, but no cigar.

Despite the excesses of the Catholic Church, the beast which appears to die, but survives, is the League of Nations/United Nations.

Do you have any experience with tarot cards? Horoscopes? These are prophecies in a sense. Do they come true, or is it a matter of interpretation?

That's the question Cyracuz,

The reason why there is a significant chance of them actually happening is because the same book predicted other prophecies that did come to pass... Now as far as the interpretation is concerned, at this point I havn't come across a better one that is so dynamically supported by scripture and history, I am however open. If God sheds more light on this subject then that would be great.

But note, light is progressive... God doesn't overwhelm us with the light in full for we would not be able to comprehend it, especially if we have something to do with it... I believe that step by step God's plan for the world will be revealed, but how can we accept stage 2 with out accepting stage 1, remember part of faith is believing in what you dont see. But still, not much faith is needed because past fulfillments of prophecy came to pass accurately...

It's not an issue of random speculation... if it's happened before, what says it won't happen again?

O yea,

About Tarot cards and horiscopes... No I dont believe in them.

And it's not like Bible prophecy, there is no basis involved by using cards and constalations to tell of someone's future. God is not involved when it comes to such predictions, it's intirely wrapped in ones own inner energy interacting with "unseen" forces... There is no purpose, ultimately no outcome, and can be summed up as basic guess work...

In prophecy there is an ultimate purpose and an ultimate outcome otherwise why would prophecy mean anything to us? Again, what validates and sets aside any type of prophetic belief from the prophecies of scripture is that they have stamped themselves on supported historical records.

Prophecy can only be attributed to God for He alone knows it for He declares "I am the Alfa and Omega" which is the beginning and the end.

One of the greatest prophecies to support the Bible's genuinity is that of Daniel 2 about Nebuchadnezzar's dream of an image... this image and its different metalic constituents represented the history of the great kindoms of the world, till now each one has come to pass from the Babylonian era to the Roman Empire... I'm sure most of you are familiar with that study.

Well, I do not think that prophesies mean anything to us. They merely seem accurate because we interpret historical events based on the prophesies we know. There is no sentient deity god with an intelligent mind and a selse of self.
All prophesies were written by humans, like the rest of the bible.

Well that depends really on how much you know and understand about prophecy and its relation to human events.

Translation: that depends upon how willing one is to indulge in self-delusion.

Why do you call yourself Janice911?

Are you trying to milk a tragedy to stroke your own ego?

Usually such accusations are an indirect manifestation of one's own personal issues ey? Wink

emmmm.... why do I call myself Janice911? Well, why do you call yourself "Setanta"? Smile

There is nothing like Bible prophecy... the concept of future events being revealed for the benefit of all those who desire to know of them is just overwhelming...

The point is, to me this reveals an aspect of God's character... this is what I take home with me, He loves us so much that He desires to shield us from future events that may mislead us to ruin... prophecy is not about "trying" to scratch an area of enlightment that is untouchable to mortals... it is because of how enormously beyond it is to our knowledge and how close God desires to bring us to Him that causes me to appreciate this area of study... I guess it really depends on how you look at the concept of prophecy Smile
