Hi
I just posted a thread promoting a carer forum in the UK I help run, we were hoping to get overseas carers to join, I added a link to the thread and it disappeard, are links not allowed?

you should prolly read the
TOS...
New members are not permitted to post links. That is to ensure that the newbie is not promoting something or other, which is against the TOS.. Individually, you might have done something perfectly innocent, but the administrators have no way of knowing this. Therefore, the rule about newbies not posting links apply to everyone.
Don't take it personally!
