Actually she didnt name the Teddy bear. The class of six year olds chose the name Mohammed. (No doubt they will all be whipped later).

The teacher just when along with the class decision.

Aparantly she wanted to call it Salman Crusader Zionist Rushdie.

This poor woman now has to spend another 10 days in an Islamic hell hole.

To any Sudanese official reading this, or any cleric who supports the verdict GO **** YOURSELF.

Reminds me of the Salem Witch Trial lunacy.

I think all religious fundamentalist nuts muslim, jew, christian, any cult or idiot who is getting his instructions directly from God... should be put on an island or continneet or whatever by themselves and given killing weapons... with the caveat they can only be bludgeoning weapons... and then a cable satellite link and cameras all over the area should be set up and it should run on cable 24/7.

Ratings bonanza and good for the world....

People in Britain are really angry about this. The phone-ins are crowded with demands to send in the SAS, or arrest Sudanese in Britain or at the very least stop sending them aid money.

In practise there is little we can do apart from putting diplomatic pressure on the Sudanese government. Their ambassador has been summonsed to the Foreign office (twice).

Meanwhile back in Sudan militants are complaining the sentence is too lenient. They want to shed blood.

My anger is not with the Sudanese or with Muslims but with the stupid medieval repressive religion of Islam.

Dilwar Hussain, of the Islamic Foundation, has no problem with a teddy bear called Muhammad. For some years, the Islamic Society sold a soft toy made for British Muslim children named Adam the Prayer Bear. "Adam is also the name of a Prophet."

I tend to agree, no, I absolutely agree with the Sudanese officials.

I think we in the USA must immediately pass a law banning anyone from naming anything the sacred name of the Prophet, blessed be his Name.

Any person already named with the Blessed Name of the Prophet, Blessed be his Name, must immediately have it changed to something else

I heard a woman yesterday say she was going to get some Mohammed labels printed off and stick one on every Teddy bear she could find in toy shops.

You go to the store and purchase a special gift for your children to share. It's a teddy bear. They love the bear and draw much comfort from it. They plan to be close to the bear forever.

You ask the children to name this shared bear whatever name they feel is most fitting. Many names are tossed out without much thought. After much deliberation, someone has an idea. This bear which is loved by all children...........they name it after you.

Is this an honor....or dishonor to you?

What sometimes can seem as offensive to adults is actually a child's way of giving honor.

Anyone see the movie "Man on Fire" with Denzel Washington?

Remember the girl calling her bear....... Creasy Bear? I think Creasy was honored, touched, humbled and loved by this precious child. Woe unto the ones who even so much touch a hair on this child's head!

Why would'nt Mohammed be honored?
