this might be temporary, and if not i know what's going on, but i can't see avatars anymore.
the reason is that i have to block images from a2k now, or have the page cluttered beyond legibility with giant banners telling me not to hotlink. this goes for every smiley icon, etc.
of course i'll still be able to see images hosted on other sites, a2k won't be without images for me.
if anyone else experiences this, and then it eventually stops, let me know please. i don't know how to unblock images i've blocked, but maybe i'll figure it out.
oh, ew. i also blocked the "reply" buttons, lol. now they're invisible, and i have to hover over the right place where they would be and look at the tooltip. not your fault, of course.
Are you running some ancient steam powered OS? I recently did a stupid thing by including a "stop recieving" notice for a2k replies on my spam filter. Ive since sent conflicting orders to "always allow" a2k updates from a left over thread. I hope that restores its prime directive. Otherwise my inbox will self destruct .

I would click "help" or "contact us" from the menu at the bottom of the page (here's the url if that has disappeared
http://support.able2know.com/ ) and ask for help there.

no, but i do have a penchant for such things. i think i know what the issue is, but unless anyone else is having this problem and it goes away, there's not much i can do. when i find a way to unblock the images (don't worry, i'll figure it out) i know another way (or two) to block them that might give me text links for the buttons. looking back to when i had them, i'll settle for that

yeah, but there's nothing they're going to be able to tell me unless someone else is experiencing this too. that's all i want to know really, if it happens to anyone else (particularly if it is temporary for them.) thanks though- man, fast reply!
EDIT:
good news, everyone!
i have managed to get everything *functional* again. still no a2k avatars, but life goes on. i come here for the text. please let me know if you have the giant banner problem and it goes away.
For whatever reason your browser's referral header is not coming from a2k. This can happen if you use certain software that will modify http headers (zonealarm and other security software will sometimes do this) or if you use a web-based proxy. It can also be a browser extension or malware that is altering your http requests.
In any case, in order to prevent other sites from using able2know as a hosting service for their images the images are only served if they have an able2know domain in the referral header.
You should ask on the computer forums about how to make your http headers behave as web servers expect them to if you can't figure out what it is.
