The forum has been moved but there are many thing to resolve so expect login difficulties etc until the domain resolves.

Name based URLs will not work until the DNS changes propagate so cookie dupport is not functioning well.

In a day or two everything should be finished.

Hey! That was my first post on the new board and instead of saying "Your post has been..." after I hit "Submit" it said something about "Hamster Report 653.."

We got hamsters now? Surprised

lol

If you have a look at your address bar you'll see something verra wrong. he he

DNS is being problematic so the domain is sill on the old server. I just used a frame as the 404 page with the IP based address framed. He he.

It's an ugly workaround but it'll have to do.

And I keep getting a message (which I cancel) from my security that a pagead2 from google syndication doesn't look trustworthy.

Had some trouble opening the door earlier this morning, but everything seems functional now.

I like the new look, Craven.

I made it. Thanks, Piffka, for reporting my difficulties. I instantly noticed that there are ten posts per page. Couldn't find a place to adjust that. (I prefer 50.) Will that option be available eventually?

Things are looking good.

What's with the hamster?

First of all, thank you.

Had to log in a few times, presume that will pass.

Site looks pretty.

I miss Back To Top and All Topics, but I'll get over it.

Later post -

I found the Arrow, and am now used to using Posts Since Your Last Visit
to navigate....so ne'er mind the quibble.

Glad that I found this thread. When I tried to access the "Forum" page, I have to relogin. Also the movable smiley faces are not moving.

Craven- You will find these messages elsewhere, but I wrote them before I found this thread.

Hmmm. I just noticed that there is no button to move replies to the clipboard. Oh well, I will just have to "copy"- No biggie.

Is it me, or did you reverse "start new topic" with "post reply"? For the first few posts that I wrote on A2K2, I kept hitting "start new topic".....Strange.

The log in issues are transitive and when the domain transfers I will address them.

I think you mean that they stop moving on the posting page once clicked. This is default phpbb beghavior and on the old forum I had used a workaround. since it's a minor detail it will ahve to wait. I haven't built the homepage yet.

No spellcheck either but they will be back.

Just wanted to say that given all the things that could go wrong in a conversion of the magnitude you've done here, new servers and software programming upgrades....the process has been remarkably uneventful and seamless for the most part.

Job very well done, Craven and company.

Yes, I am so happy with the speed and the new arrangement that I have blown my day off for painting by hanging around here. It's wonderful.
