[answered] A2K's portal missing A2K content

Has anyone else noticed that the A2K portal no longer contains A2K's content.

I clicked on A2K portal food and drink and got some strange new site. The original A2K recipes were no longer there.

I tried a couple of other sites, same result. A2K is gone.

Can this be fixed to restore A2K's portal?

Yep, I noticed it when I posted a week or two ago about not being able to find the link to the portal. Erroneously assumed that since no one mentioned the missing info that it was a temporary thing from the site being moved to a new URL and it would be back shortly.

A lot of hours were invested into creating the content for that for the A2K site. Hope a way is found to make the useful info accessible again.

Butrflynet, I discovered that you can only access the Portal from A2K's home page. It is no longer listed on other page screens.

There are changes being made. My understanding is that the content is going to split into several domains and some of them aren't set up yet. I'll pass this along to Craven in case I've misstated anything.

The portal's database is being split up. The directory structure wasn't the best way to mix in the lyrics, recipes, movies, poems, scripts, jokes and articles.

All the data in the portal is being preserved and will be put online (even if I have to manually data enter it all in their new homes) and the first step was the directory of urls.

Unfortunately, the software license I have for the portal does not permit multiple urls so I can't have the old portal running while the new one is.

So I am rushing to finish separate sites for each of the above content types. But I have about 40,000 urls I am trying to move around so it may take me a few weeks.
