And even if parts are ordered, or even delivered, they will have no trouble returning them for full credit. I promise, it's done every day.

I don't have PM priv yet, but I will keep a watch on the thread. If you have trouble, post, and I will be back to you shortly. If you act confident, and tell em how it is, you will be fine. I have seen some of your previous posts, and have no doubt you can stand up for yourself. They are not new to what you are going through. Bad business has it's own parameters.

Wolf, as a bit of backup insurance...in the morning, take a picture of your husband in there with you, make sure the picture shows off his size...and then whisper to the attendant...."He owns a pair of spurs"...problem solved, guaranteed.

I wear my spurs everywhere I go...I haven't paid for....anything...in years.

Just tell the people where your car is that you can get the job done for $500.00. see what they say.

$800 AUD (touch over $700 USD) for a new clutch in my 4wd Pajero 2 years ago.

I'll slide by this this morning, and ask to SEE shewolf's car.

I'm sure it's not on the rack either, and if it's just sitting there, I'll tell them...Do NOT touch this car yet until you hear from her.

I get names, and take no hostages.

Laughing Laughing

The mister wolf is 6`5 and 275 lbs.
All he has to do is stand up straight and grunt.
I like em big. Smile

It is 30 minutes before they open and bean and I are having a slow morning Confused
Should I call?

You need to ask?

Coordinate with Chai, arrive at the same time. Get your car outta there and introduce her to Edwin.

dammit.....

I got there, at 7:30, and the car was already up on the rack, with the transmission taken out.

They were halfway through.

So, all I could do was stand around for a few minutes, saying I was waiting for shewolf, and saying stuff like "If that car wasn't 1/2 already I know someone who'd do that for $500"......and......"Man, that price is high....awful high"....and....."I can't believe you're charging her that much"

You know, having fun.

After I had made myself a pain in the ass to him for a little while, shewolf hadn't shown up, so I left.

The clutch is slipping. Used to have an old Honda Prelude that did the same thing.

Wait....did I just slip back in time?

Yes, we have all determined it's the clutch.

7:30 in the morning and it was already on the rack and taken apart?

I guess we know now where they got the name for their business!

well, it is now down to ( and I quote ) 800, or so

im to tired to argue anymore with him.
Well, i wasnt actually argueing with him. He was very polite, very nice.. just .. ugh.
I hate having to do that.

So, 800 "or so " sounds much better then 1500

I think I arrived a few minutes behind Chai.
The guy was standing there looking at my car when I pulled in.
It was upon the rack, with pieces all over the floor. There, visually at least, was no way to just take my car down.
I think I got there about 8 ..
Anyway.

his answer was, I guess I can cut some corners to bring the cost down for you.

I told him, I just dont have the money to pay you. So please take my car down. I could tell, and I dont work on cars, that it was in pieces when I told him that and there was no way I was going to get a running car back without having to fork over some money

800. I can handle that..
