...with the Usergroups?

Tartarin's confused as well.

If you have decided to implement some of the changes we talked about a month or so ago, that's well and good.

Did you also remove completely all the existing PUPers?

Should we start all over?

Thanks.

You had said you did not want to lead that group anymore saying that it was "for the birds" Tartarin said she wanted a usergroup so I was going to use the same one.

I am having a busy and problematic day so I shall sort through the misunderstandings later.

Hmmm... you must've misunderstood me.

At any rate, thanks for clearing that up.

Are all of the PUP threads deleted as well?

Not yet. Do you want them moved to the public boards?

I was recently invited and did join the PUP. I read the thread where discussion was taking place about whether or not to make the PUP threads viewable to all.

I personally, would rather not see any political threads restricted to anyone for the following reasons.

1. The political threads are a great draw for new A2K members.

2. Political threads are a lot more interesting when there is constructive discussion of differing opinions. Having a thread where everyone basically says "ayep, I agree with that" is boring to say the least.

3. Reading opposing opinions from your own sometimes encourages you to do further investigation and change your view. I am often surprised by a perspective I hadn't thought of before.

4. In this climate of political apathy, we need to be inclusive not exclusive.

5. There are plenty of other venues available for any group that wants to have exclusive discussions. I like the openness of these boards. They provide a public service.

And PDiddie, I do not think it was possble that I misunderstood you. I asked "are you sure" several times and you responded in the positive each time.

It's not a bone of contention, Craven.

And I probably didn't make myself clear. To (hopefully) clarify, I was willing to hand off in order to facilitate new growth and/or direction for the Usergroup, and remain if no one else wanted the mantle. But, understanding previously that usergroups were a bit of "dead weight", I have no quarrel with your discontinuing it. Just wanted to know what was going on.

Yes, perhaps you could just move them into 'Politics'?

Or a topic as appropriate for the thread.

Whatever is simplest and least time-consuming for you... Smile
