Did I fall into grammatical error ?

I have found that the rules of grammar
( for the most part) support our efforts to be logical, in the expression of our thoughts.
That does not include the prohibition against splitting infinitive verbs,
on the ground that thay r one word in Latin.
I will care about that when I speak Latin, but not English.
In the meantime, in the fullness of glee,
I shall proceed to boldly go where no man has gone before.
