As for the Holiday cryptic I have Sooooo far to go. Is it just me or is it more difficult than usual?

I'm new to this but have viewed this site many times. Alot of you posts have helped us out a great deal. i am having trouble with the answer for 49a - gained a lap? (3)
For 40d i have two answer - typed or types
im not quite sure which it is, so i dont know what 49a starts with.
any help will be much appreciated.

A couple of my friends gave me the answer as "SAT", but didn't explain why. Perhaps somebody here will verify later on, only 6.30am here presently.

hello can anyone help me with three answers please.i've racked my brain and nothing has come to me,perhaps i'm thick.the first one is Gaza strip seen from outer space,i have g?p The next one is walk off with outlaw-backwards n?b.(i hate three letter answers)the last one is bring us back a fish ,honey.s?o?r.I know they are probably easy answers but i just can't wrap my brain around them perhaps dutchy can help me .CP.
