There was a guy on TV last night. The cops were trying to get him off the freeway. I could have sworn he was praying to one of those orange cones. Was that you?
LOL!
I thought so!
Gol! I expected you to look a lot different!
When my son was about three or four years old, he came running down to the kitchen all excited one morning. He was begging me to take him out on our new boat.
"Honey, we don't have a boat."
"Yes, we do. We have two. One is red and black and the other one is yellow."
After a couple of minutes of him insisting we had two boats and me trying to figure out what he was talking about, I realized he had been dreaming. To him the dream was real. Maybe had prayed for a boat?
I took him to the garage and showed him... No boats.
I'll have him change his wording and see if one appears.
If it does I'll be the first one back down on my knees.
So did you take him down to the lake and rent a boat. Or what?

THEN GO TO SLEEP. ( YOU FALLING ASLEEP IS THE BIG SECRET! )
God then replies in the form of a dream - THAT NIGHT.
You need to pay attention for the reply God gives you at this time.
Just try.
God always replies to me by rearranging Cheetos on the kitchen counter top.
A few weeks ago I prayed and when I walked back into the kitchen the Cheetos were arranged to spell out "NOT ON YOUR LIFE BUTTHEAD!".
Does that mean I won't be getting a new radial arm saw for Christmas?
You'll probably safer without it. And so will other living nearby.

Amen. "Rush loves you)
Wouldn't it be better to try FM? Higher frequency and all?

Perhaps you need to search deeper within?
Intrepid wrote:Gee, I never remember my dreams. I must have missed out on many blessings that way. Maybe I should stay awake and remain conscious.
I was never aware that prayers could be answered that fast and consistently. Be careful what you pray for.
It's probably better that way. You most likely miss out on all those nasty nightmares too. Who knows what those mean?

For those of you who favor a scientific/ experimental approach, I can't see how you would have any objection to this.
Many studies have been done concerning prayer and healing. The overwhelming conclusions are that prayer has no effect on the sick, but it can help the person doing the praying for the sick person to feel better. It seems to have an optimistic placebo effect on family and friends.
I remember reading about one study that had groups of people praying either to Jesus or Krishna (depending on their beliefs) for sick loved ones. In the study the people who prayed to Krishna for intervention had slightly better results than those who prayed to Jesus. However, the study noted that overall most people remained on the course of illness as predicted by their doctors, and the prayers seemed to have no effect either way. You can probably find some of these studies on the web, but you will have to weed out the biased sources - most of them with a religious agenda.
Was there any discussion in what you read regarding how a positive attitude and a determination to fight the illness affected "pray-ers" versus "non-pray-ers"?

Is any particular position required of those who might also wish to pray to the orange road cone god?

Nope. The cone replies just as often as a God, and no strings attached.

That might not be a fair test. Boats are easy.
