The riddle is this:
100 people died within 100 miles of each other, 99 lived one walked away, the question is not how or when but why?
I can't figure it out, how can something be dead then alive? Please help...
where did you hear this riddle?
a friend of mine told it to me, she says there is a definate answer but she wont tell me the answer....been trying to guess for 2 days now
Could there have been 199 people to begin with?
I have a guess.
It might be about an army platoon of 100 men who were MIA. One deserted the platoon because he didn't like the mission and the others died. It says 99 lived, but this might be past tense. They "lived" at one time.
It might also be about 100 men transported in a plane. 99 are from a town (100 miles) and are already dead. The pilot is transporting bodies. They "lived" at one time. The pilot walked away, but may have died later.
Just some thoughts.
Ohhh nice suggestions, I'll run those by her and see what she says. I'll let you guys know if any of them are right.
hihi, new here.
my english isnt very good, but i would try to make myself clear.
If you didnt see riddle but rather heard of it, then maybe the word 'died' is the word 'dyed'
this would make sense now, as the people could maybe be dying their hair or something within 100miles , and they walked away when they are done.
Just my 3 cents =)
So, Jukei, what did your friend say? What is the answer?
Ok, here is the answer, hopefully you guys wont be as angry as I was to hear it...they were all "left for dead". I thought it was kinda cheesy but ehh oh well. The army platoon answer was very close, in fact thats why I got the real answer, she said that was close enough haha. Thanks again guys for all the help!
