Swiss are split in three major groups: French, German and Italian. It is almost impossible to immigrate to Switzerland unless you're extremely rich or famous. so I can't see Muslims overrunning the cantons.
Big gains on the right and left in Swiss elections point to the contradictions in this Alpine nation. It is a cradle of humanitarian work, but its famed neutrality often also masks a stubborn insularity. The Swiss People's Party, which campaigned on a promise to kick out entire immigrant families if one member of the family broke the law, received the highest vote any party has achieved since World War I; but the Greens turned in their best showing yet as well.
