my boss has ask me to answer this riddle:
you have 10 tennis balls and a 2 sided weight scale.
one of the tennis balls is lighter in weight than the others, there all the same except for this , you can use the scales only 2 times to find the answer...how do you find the lighter ball.??
can someone out there find this answer ...its driving me crazy!!!!

I doubt whether it can be done with 10 because whether you take 4 against 4 or 3 againt 3 for first weighing you are potentially left with 4 for the last weighng.

Three wrongs don't make it right!

If I may be so bold as to suggest a solution:

Split the balls 3, 3, 3, 1.

Weigh 3 v 3

(If they balance; then) use the other three.

Take two of the three balls and weigh: balance; then it is the third
