so...that whole video starts by seriously rebutting one sentence by Terry Pratchett Laughing Laughing Laughing that's funny.

couldn't watch it for long though. the titles are annoyingly slow.

Obviously. If it wasn't poorly made and annoyingly slow you would have no excuse to not apply any longish attention spans on it.

It's a version of playing with yourself.

This is serious. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I may pat myself on the back and say that I have been arguing this for about eight years now. On Abuzz and A2K.

"The Big Bangers and the Creationists have more in common than either side would care to admit." Me quoting myself Very Happy

Both sides claim a beginning that cannot be shown to have ever happened.

Both sides suspend gravity when convenient. Big bangers call it inflation---Creationists call it the resurrection,

Both sides deny the nature of EMR to shift frequencies with a changing gravitational field.

The red shift only represents the amount of space-time between two discreet events.

The CMBR (cosmic microwave background radiation) can easily be explained by at least two different theories, other than the echos of creation, or Gods voice reverbrating across the heavens.
a. Tired light--proposed by Hoyle about 1949.
b.the change of state of Hydrogen atoms at near absolute zero temperatures.
c.simple scattering.
d.energy densities of a gas.

I'd love to discuss this with somebody that can tell the differences between facts, theories, and hypotheses and wishful thinking Exclamation

Can you justify that Vengo?

It seems to fit with this as it stands-

Quote:
When someone actually believes in an assertion, which is a secret impulsion of a spirit or something which animates him somehow and satisfies and comforts him, and which bears no relation to reality, it is a religious sentiment.

which aka thought reasonable.

Major yawn, with a couple of chuckles.

Using conservation of mass/energy in an effort to debunk the Big Bang....

Then, "did you ever read that in a textbook?"
- Did the target audience ever open a textbook?

<snork>

First I'd like to explain my concept of a well made piece of media. 1) Does the piece convey the message? 2) Does it do it well? 3)Does the piece make use of the possibilities its medium opens to it?
Basically, that "video" is nothing more than a powerpoint presentation. Pretty pictures in the background? Check. Text that doesn't roll out fast enough for me to read it at a comfortable pace? check. There isn't anything about that "video" that wouldn't be just as convenient in text form.
There's no reason for there to be music in the background, and it just reminds me of awful MMO gameplay videos.
