Normally I wouldn't break in on this type of thread for all the cheerleaders in Dallas but even I couldn't pass this one up. In that same tome of truth and science an even better article appears:

It turns that global warming, clearly caused by the devil, scientists, and the liberal media (even though there is not such thing as global warming) we do know who is causing it, has a simple solution. Pollute MORE. More pollution will clear it right up! Priceless!!!

I should think that holding forth the eschewing of all the cheerleaders in Dallas as a significant penance is certainly bordering on insanity putting it mildly. I would interrupt every thread on the site to avoid tangling with such a crew.

Cannot help but note that when England reduced the household use of soft coal as a pollution control measure the south coast had killing frosts for the first time in a couple of centuries.

I'd expect this was a mini benefit for French and Spanish vegetable growers.

The Unintended Consequences Principle is still alive and well :wink:

Sorry, but it turns out that solid particles, such as generated by diesel engines, and so forth, do reflect sunlight, leading to cooling. The CO & CO2 they produce tend to retain heat. It's a balancing act.

I have to take global warming as a fact we have to live with. What is causing it is not known to me; neither is the effect of any actions we can take to moderate it. In other words, a cost/benefit analysis would be more guesswork than mathematical
