[answered]how do I make a link that just looks like a word?

When you post a comment you can select the "URL" button just above the "Font Size" selector and you will get a pop-up asking for the text you want to display (your one word) and then for the full URL you are providing the link for.

You can type the whole thing out in the "quick respond" box too but try it using the regular "Reply" button and look at the formatting first.

But how do I do that in my sig?

Use the "Reply" box in any discussion to set up the URL as a plain language message. Now highlight the whole shebang, including all code. Use the CTRL C combination to copy it. No go to the signature option in you profile and use CTRL V to paste it in.

Additionally, you can use color and other font effects at this time - just be sure all code is highlighted before copying.
