D'ya think that Craven might be some sort of chameleon - changing his look all the timr?

Or perhaps a Cheshire Cat - sometimes all you can see is the grin and that's a bit sinister.

Jeez - a boring Sunday - the cricket finished early - Australia whopped the crap outta Bangladesh in about a third the allotted time, I've done my crafty thing for Tuesday. I'm going to be forced to do the housework real soon now - unless something else distracts me Confused

Chameleons adapt to their background - don't think that is quite our fearless leader - cheshire cat is a bit more the thing....

I think Craven is a coyote. Smart, wily. I believe that there's a native American myth about coyotes being able to change their shape and become something else for a while.

Deb, If you want to be a centaur, fine by me. But I don't think of you that way. A chimp? Also no. I'm pondering. I think maybe an owl. Sees a great deal, including stuff others can't see. Wise (according to myth). And occasionally deadly.

Not sure about Piffka and the duck. This requires more thought.

Piffkas and ducks ALWAYS require much thought!

Funny - are owls funny?

Hmmmm - I was thinking something a little birdy for you, too, Boida (doh!) - hmmmmm - something clever, quick, bright little eyes, seems to have a great sense of humour - aha - the willy wag tail! Although you are a nightbird.

Willy wags (Oz ones) - wear a perfect black and white outfit - they are fearless, soon teaching cats that they cannot be caught, and often tormenting them thereafter - by sitting on their heads and suchlike.

They are curious - liking to be wherever anything is happening, and to supervise and assist.

Coyote, huh? Could be,,,,

Could this be our Fearless Leader?

ode to an evil cat:
"Macavity: The Mystery Cat
Macavity's a Mystery Cat: he's called the Hidden Paw -
For he's the master criminal who can defy the Law.
He's the bafflement of Scotland Yard, the Flying Squad's despair:
For when they reach the scene of crime - Macavity's not there!
Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity,
He's broken every human law, he breaks the law of gravity.
His powers of levitation would make a fakir stare,
And when you reach the scene of crime - Macavity's not there!
You may seek him in the basement, you may look up in the air -
But I tell you once and once again, Macavity's not there!
Mcavity's a ginger cat, he's very tall and thin;
You would know him if you saw him, for his eyes are sunken in.
His brow is deeply lined with thought, his head is highly domed;
His coat is dusty from neglect, his whiskers are uncombed.
He sways his head from side to side, with movements like a snake;
And when you think he's half asleep, he's always wide awake.
Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity,
For he's a fiend in feline shape, a monster of depravity.
You may meet him in a by-street, you may see him in the square -
But when a crime's discovered, then Macavity's not there!
He's outwardly respectable. (They say he cheats at cards.)
And his footprints are not found in any file of Scotland Yard's.
And when the larder's looted, or the jewel-case is rifled,
Or when the milk is missing, or another Peke's been stifled,
Or the greenhouse glass is broken, and the trellis past repair -
Ay, there's the wonder of the thing! Macavity's not there!
And when the Foreign Office find a Treaty's gone astray,
Or the Admiralty lose some plans and drawings by the way,
There may be a scrap of paper in the hall or on the stair -
But it's useless to investigate - Mcavity's not there!
And when the loss has been disclosed, the Secret Service say:
`It must have been Macavity!' - but he's a mile away.
You'll be sure to find him resting, or a-licking of his thumbs,
Or engaged in doing complicated long-division sums.
Macavity, Macavity, there's no one like Macavity,
There never was a Cat of such deceitfulness and suavity.
He always has an alibi, and one or two to spaer:At whatever time
the deed took place - MACAVITY WASN'T THERE!
And they say that all the Cats whose wicked deeds are widely
known
(I might mention Mungojerrie, I might mention Griddlebone)
Are nothing more than agents for the Cat who all the time
Just controls their operations: the Napoleon of Crime!"
well.........?

And what of Jespah, our OTHER Fearless Leader?

Now - Jespah could be a Barn Owl - all seeing, all knowing, flying on silent wings....

Much to think about.

What sort of critter am I?

I like penguins, but I don't think I am one. They're so cute and funny and they look like little clockwork toys when they walk. And they quack, but not quite like Piffkas. I mean ducks. ;-)

Gautam is a mongoose who definitely keeps the hoods away.

Craven, of course, is a raven.

Mikey is an Irish wolfhound.

Since Gen has gone, hiama is the last of the unicorns.

Rog is not a rat, he's a "book" worm.

Ceili(sp) is a gypsy moth.

Hey, Deb. We can include birds can't we?

Phoenix is an elephant.

Have you ever watched how tenderly they care for their family?

She's always there with a calming word, guarding the A2k 'family' from fighting and getting into trouble - I see her calmly sauntering in and moving the troublemakers on with her trunk .....

Misbehave badly though - and .....run!

Dlowan is a humming bird - buzzing from here to there and brightening the day.

Misti is a Persian cat, friendly to strangers.

Craven - yes i like the Cheshire cat idea - with sharp teeth or smile - depending on the mood.

"Better still, if called by a panther...
Don't anther!"

Marycat - a pengun .... I adore penguins - or pinguids, as I call them - might you be a bright and glorious Emperor Penguin? Who do NOT, I might add, as cruel rumour would have, fall over backwards when watching aircraft fly overhead!
