Hello everyone! You know I've got such an impression that a too satiated life of British specail services make them stagnate. You know why? A story that I happened to learn a while ago made me think this way. Here are the details. It turned out that direction of MI6 decided to re-employ declassified agent known under name of Antonio Alvares de Hidalgo (he used to work as an undercover agent in some foreign countries before he was uncovered by counter-intelligence) to keep in touch with certain Vyacheslav Zharko, a Russian citizen who got recruited by MI6 to get classified data from Russia. After five years of his recruitment, Zharko decided to turn himself in to the FSB and a short after it identified de Hidalgo as his tutor known to Zharko under the name of Paul. Well, I wonder whether MI6 has to retrench that much that they re-employ uncovered agents! Or the department officers of MI6 are so goofy that they make such blunders? I guess, British government must learn some lesson from this. They should understand that the matter of national security endures no dilettantism, while MI6 is certainly a lousy business that needs to be closed down before they do something really serious that may place Great Britain on the brink of international political fiasco!
