Please permit me to enlighten ya'll:
"Two days ago I was 69 years old. Next year, Ill be 72."--how can someone make that statement?
You were born on December 31st. It's a play on words dude.
December 30th aged 69.
December 31st aged 70.
This year aged 71.
Next year aged 72.
All very normal.

Maybe it was just to clarify the dates - December (31st) and January (1st) instead of (31th) & (1th)
I don't know, just a thought is all.

Mon anemone, my post was in response to Hannah Leigh; who before a quick edit had raised concerns as to the meaning of you answer, which was to be expected; perfectly correct.
I hope that clears up any ambiguities. That was until you wrote:

I didn't mean for my post to be insulting to you. I hope you didn't take it that way. I admire the fact that you speak many languages and you are obviously very intelligent from what I have seen on the riddle thread & where am I thread.
