I missed you here for the last couple of days.

I have been very busy with the Youth Field Day, and some house chores long over due.Youth field day was a hit, and the kids were smaller in numbers because the event was held at a different place. Still fun was had by all :wink:

That's cool, it's good to give kids things to do and have fun.

Yeah I was hooked the first time I was showing a four year old how to fish and her father was standing behind me. I had not yet seen him but it took me about 3 minutes to show her how to cast and catch a fish and boom she had a sunny on 3 seconds after casting. It was then that her father turned to me and told me that thats the fastest he'd ever sen anyone teach fishing. From then on I think I have become a show and tell ho It's most definitely a heart gripper.

So I wonder how many more lurkers we have in the background? must be lots. All peeking and no typing huh Mama, Horsey, Coon, Pattiness,

I have a brother-in-law that is like that, he'd be out fishing and help one kid bait their hook and land a fish, then there would be another and another, pretty soon he would give up on his own fishing and just help the kids. He really loved it.

Theres nothing more rewarding than teaching today's youth the values of traditional sportsmanship. The equality this country needs is from our past, not where we're heading!! Shamed to have to say that, but if the truth hurts then grin and bear it.

Bigredsshop you are obviously a keen fisherman, well this little spot shows you my fishing grounds, where I spend quality time with my son. We go after the King George Whiting, the best seafood Australia has to offer, and dive for Abalone and Lobster. The town is called Port Lincoln in Soutth Australia. I mention this because Benoutwitted asked me yesterday.

We had a wind storm. See, I wanted quiet and I got it. No power, no cable & no phone. I need to wish for things more often

Cleaning up after Western Washington wind storm

SEATTLE (AP) ?- Crews are cleaning up downed trees and repairing power lines after the wind storm that blew through Western Washington.

The storm is blamed for at least one death. A kite boarder was found dead in Lake Washington yesterday. In Kent a woman was hit on the head by a falling tree.

Thousands of people are still in the dark this morning with power outages. At the peak of the storm yesterday there were more than 300,000 without electricity. Puget Sound Energy says it still has 21,000 out and Snohomish County P-U-D about 8,000.

The National Weather Service reported gusts yesterday as high as 62 miles per hour.
The strong winds prompted the state Transportation Department to close the Hood Canal floating bridge for more than three hours.

The heavy weather has moved into parts of Eastern Washington. The National Weather Service has a wind warning today for the lower Columbia Basin, a wind advisory for the Yakima Valley, and winter storm warnings for the east slopes of the north Cascades, the Okanogan Highlands and northeast mountains.

Forecasters say after some wet weather this weekend, drier weather is expected early next week across Washington."

Morning TTH. You're not the only State with strong winds, one of our A2K friends in the southern part of your Country, had a tree crashing through her roof because of Tornado like winds, luckily no one was injured!

Hi Dutchy,
I saw that Florida and other states were having really bad weather. I was watching the news, then my power went out. Anyway, can't stay long. My neighbor's tree came down in my yard. I have to help clean up before it is too dark to do anything.

That's okay though. I will be leaving on an extended vacation myself shortly. Cancun, Maui, CA, NV, Cabo and maybe take a cruise through the Panama Canal. Anyway, there should be sun somewhere in one of those places
