Hey TTH - wanna do something a bit different - well - I know you're off to Cabo soon - but we have a Roaring Twenties Party next wednesday. Now, you turned up in a "rather amazing Toga" last week - how bout you find yourself a twenties outfit and post it - then I'll make sure you are on the deck next week with us

I don't work so, I am just plain bored. Oh, I attended a function last night Smile
Here is how it played out:

Phone rings-- I say "hello"
The other person says "I will be there to pick you up at 5"
Click

I didn't know why, where, who .......
So, when 5 came, I get the "you are not wearing that to where we are going"
I was wearing jeans and tennis shoes. I asked "why not?"
The answer I got was "because this is a semi-formal, formal event. I said "fine, I will change the color of my tennis shoes"
That didn't go over so well Rolling Eyes Laughing

I will try to make it on Wednesday. Thanks for the invite Very Happy

The function was okay. It gave me a chance to ask a friend, who is a retired 727 pilot, a question I have been wondering about for years.

I think everybody on the plane was afraid. I was calm, but scared.

I was looking out the window around 34,000 ft. when there was a loud huge muffled explosion outside the aircraft. The whole back of the plane shook violently from side to side, almost like something hit us.

Some passenger, not at a window, said "I think the pilot just put the landing gear down". So of course I had to say "not at 34,000 ft he didn't". A different guy looked at me and shook his head no. Then the pilot or co-pilot came running down the aisle to the back of the plane and was looking out the window. He was apparently looking to see what he could see as far as damage to the aircraft.

My friend said the engine probably back-fired and sometimes pieces would come off and hit the aircraft.
