Don't forget it is late Saturday afternoon here already. Friends will be here for the bbq and no doubt will stay for a while. Sunday going for a trip into the Hills and having a quiet lunch somewhere, weather should be perfect.

Big races in my home-town too this weekend. The big V8's will be in action for Australia biggest street car race. Carnival goes over 4 days and atracts 1/2 million people.
Wow, that's a lot of people. I don't like crowds that big. Rather watch from home then.
I don't go near them either, much better to watch on TV. Did attend every Formula I Championship race for 10 years whilst being held in my hometown, saw all the great drivers of the 80's and 90's. This race is now being held in Melbourne each year but that's to far away for me.
If NHRA ever gets as big as Nascar, then I won't attend the big events anymore. I will still go to the local track and drive my stock car
Watched the Daytona 500 on TV the other day, loved it for its sheer incredible speed, have you ever been there TTH?

The Daytona 500? I went to the track in 1998 & 2007. I have never attended a race there and have no desire to do so.
