Multiply the inches by 2.54 to find the equivalent number of centimeters. Multiply centimeters by 0.3937 to find the equivalent in inches.
I thought this was a question!!
I've been spending a lot of time trying to argue that centimetres ARE inches!
Do the British share your opinion?
Handy ROT (rule of thumb) when travelling in metricated countries.
A mile is 1.6 kms, so (approximately) 3 miles is 5 kms and 6 miles is 10 kms.
ROT:
Pounds to kilograms: multiply by 2.2 (Or multiply by 2 and add 10%).
Kilograms to pounds: divide by 2.2 (or divide by 2 and discount 10%).
Here's another idea...switch to the metric system already...

1 gram = 0.035274 ounces 1.0 gram
1 decagram = 0.35274 ounces 10 grams
1 hectogram = 3.5274 ounces 100 grams
1 kilogram = 35.274 ounces 1000 grams
1 kilogram = 2.204625 pounds 1000 grams
What about them pints and fl. ounces?
I know a pint is a perfect measure for guiness, but little else.
